Assuming you didn’t stumble into this FAQ from a wormhole induced by a warp engine imbalance, you probably want to know more about our site and its team. Well here we are! Be sure to check back as Bombchu.com becomes bigger and better with even more BANG for your reading pleasure.
Yeah, we went there.
What the heck is a bombchu??
Bombchu “are recurring items in the Legend of Zelda series. Bombchu are small, explosive items similar in appearance to a stylized rodent (the “chu” of the item’s name is the Japanese onomatopoeic word for a mouse’s squeak).” SRC: Wiki
So what are you doing with a name like that then?
Bombchu.com is a passion project funded independently with the sole purpose of delivering news updates and content from gamers to gamers. We’re not just saying that to be cute though. That is legitimately our mission. You may notice quite a bit of coverage on indie titles and kickstarter games that you won’t find anywhere else. We celebrate the art of games here on Bombchu and we want to make sure the world gets to discover the same joy we’ve found in them.
So, who works on this crazy thing?
Well my friend, that would be writer extraordinaire Andron, the SUPA gamer and co-pilot Austin, and the guy making sure the whole thing doesn’t disappear in a code fire Blake. We also have added the unstoppable Doublechris and amazing Pardon Wulf to the crew and they’ve both become an invaluable asset.
Where are your ads?
There are none and if we have it our way, there never will be! We want to keep Bombchu as pure of a news source as we can free of pop ups or banners that distract the reader. To that end, we are still working regular 9 – 5 jobs while providing you as much content as we can muster.
Note, if we happen to link to a YouTube video, there will of course be ads since that’s a link directly from them and are not affiliated with us. We are actively working to get videos without having to utilize YouTube so we can keep in line with what we have promised.
This Ad free credo only applies to the actual website as when we create videos on Twitch and Yotube, Google, Nintendo and other sponsors encourage Ads and if we want to continue doing this for a long time, we’ll be foolish to turn down money from it. We have total transparency when it comes to this so if you ever see something that does not align, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any grievances.
How do you get your information?
We have been added to numerous press centers and receive daily alerts from Square Enix, Capcom, Nintendo, and various other companies. Our information is always provided by a valuable source and will never be reported AS NEWS if there is evan a small trace of “maybe?” in there.
Hmm, you guys seem pretty cool. Do you have anything else out there we can check out?
Glad you think so! Be sure to check out our Youtube Channel for some play-throughs of different games and lots of original content. We’ve also started doing some more candid stuff on Twitch and you can also follow us on Twitter!
Something is bugged on the site, how do I let you know?
In situations like this, even if it is embarrassing for us, please let us know by emailing Info@bombchu.com and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours!
