Many life long fans rolled their eyes in exhaustion when the reveal of the newest Elder Scrolls game turned out to be a card game and not a proper sequel to the epic franchise. However, Elder Scrolls: Legends has continued pushing forward with the team successfully completing both a closed and open beta period.
In a recent newsletter from Bethesda, the team detailed exactly what is on the horizon for The Elder Scrolls: Legends and it actually is a little exciting for anyone looking for an alternative to Hearthstone or other strategy card games. To begin, they announced that there will be no account reset for PC players and the full game has completely launched out of BETA today. In addition, the game has set its launch targets for mobile platforms.
Elder Scrolls: Legends Launch Dates (Tentative):
- iPad – March 23rd
- Android Tablets – April
- Mac OS – May
- Mobile Phones – Mid 2017
In addition to the full release of the game, Bethesda went one step further to immediately announce its first proper story update named ‘The Fall of the Dark Brotherhood’. The ominously named expansion includes 20 new missions across 3 maps and also brings with it 40 new cards. It’s expected on April 5th and can be purchased with real money or in-game currency. In addition to this paid content, there will be some additional content including an event called Chaos arena as well as tweaks to the current metagame.
While there are many similarities that can be drawn between this title and other recent entries in the genre, the best thing about this announcement is you don’t have to wait to try it out! The source below has a link to the game’s starters guide and a link to try the game out today. Since it’s free, there’s no real risk but Bombchu won’t be held responsible for any card addictions that you develop as a result.
