Nier Automata had the sad fortune of releasing at a time when just about every game was high on quality and play time. Between Persona 5 and The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, it was hard for the game to get any spotlight. While this was the case, the fans that did pick up the game have been in love and Nier Automata is sitting pretty at an 88 on Metacritic. With scores like that, it’s only natural that Square has decided to cash in with some rather… alluring DLC.
The upcoming DLC titled 3C3C1D119440927, which currently does not have a release date outside of “soon”, covers a broad selection of content. Primarily, it will bring three new colosseums that the players can challenge in addition to a myriad of sub-quests. As you complete these, you’ll gain what everyone wants for 2B (the female protagonist); more fashion!
It’s not only limited to 2B however as 9S and A2 will also have some new costumes and masks that all have various new effects and interesting looks to them. That’s not all though as Square has shared exactly what you can expect in the upcoming DLC right here:
- Costumes from the previous Japanese release, NieR: Replicant, for androids 2B, 9S and A2
- Records that add special music tracks to the players’ jukebox
- New equipment and cosmetic accessories such as hairspray that allows you to change the color of 2B and A2’s hair
- Masks with unique “on equip” effects
- Special bullets that change the appearance of enemy bullets
