For everything that you may have expected from EA’s E3 2017 conference, a new IP reveal for the still not complete revealed Project Scorpio was probably not on your radar. You probably also were not expecting a title being developed by one of the kings of the Western RPG, Bioware. Anthem, however, is that game and as of right now, it is an absolute mystery. Well at least until tomorrow at 2 PM PST.
From the short teaser trailer that was shown during the EA conference, however, it was easy to understand that civilization is living in an endangered state. Humans are forced behind a giant wall because the world’s inhabitants are giant monsters that are more than likely extremely challenging to compete against. In the closing shot of the trailer, you get a glimpse of a power suit (I’m guessing) which opens from the back showing a human sized hole that was ready to conform to the protagonist’s body shape.
Outside of that, we also know that it is using the Frostbite engine and will be shown off on the Scorpio. As of the writing of this article, it is not known if Anthem will be Scorpio exclusive but based on the massive difference between the PS4 Pro and the leaked (now confirmed) specs of the Scorpio, it will more than likely at least get a version with all the bells and whistles.
Be sure to check back tomorrow as we’ll have more information on Anthem and everything else happening within E3 2017 as both Microsoft and Bethesda take the stage.
